The report presents a needs assessment and gap analysis for adult learning providers in the four partner countries of the DIMA project.

Adult learning is currently the weakest link in developing national lifelong – learning systems, it seems urgent to inform VET trainers, teachers and tutors about new contemporary practices and effective tools in order to develop Adult Education Strategies for increasing adult participation.

The Europe 2020 strategy for smart, sustainable and inclusive growth acknowledges lifelong learning and skills development as key elements in response to the current economic crisis, to demographic ageing and to the broader economic and social strategy of the EU. The crisis has highlighted the major role which adult learning can play in achieving the Europe 2020 goals, by enabling adults - in particular the low-skilled and older workers - to improve their ability to adapt to changes in the labor market and society...

The DIMA consortium has spent the past few months working intensely on the first project outcomes and is now ready to present some of its results. A Toolkit for Developing, Implementing and Monitoring Adult Education Strategies (DIMA) Project was launched in 1st of October 2015 and will be completed in 31st of October 2017.
